Based in Mparntwe/Alice Springs and the Central Desert region, stArts with D Performance Ensemble is a disability-led collective who have collaborated, created and presented original works celebrating identity, place and belonging since 2013. A program of Incite Arts, the Ensemble takes control of how they are portrayed as individuals and as a group, embracing their cultural and disability identities. Their works, seen at the 2014 Arts Activated Conference, Sydney, and in Unbroken Land since 2015, are powerfully shaped by the artists’ concepts of self and identities.

stArts with D Performance Ensemble‘s video work Strong Feelings emerges from shared stories and explored challenges, channelling emotions, feelings and selves into powerful pieces of film, art, photography, soundscapes, music and movement.
