What stories are special to you? What tall tales of triumph and tragedy, fun, silly, sweet or sad are passed around between your family and friends? Join us online for a magical workshop with illustrator and author, Cheryl Orsini, as she guides you to weave words and pictures to tell a story.
Some materials you will need to get crafty with us:
- A4 paper or a notebook
- A3 paper (heavy weight works best!)
- Scissors, remember to ask for help with these if you need it!
- Something to draw with, like coloured pencils and graphite pencils
- Eraser
- Pencil sharpener
- Coloured or patterned paper to collage
- Sticky tape or glue
Cheryl Orsini taught herself to draw as a little girl. She grew a little taller, studied Visual Communications at UTS and finally, when she could grow no more, she started illustrating children's books, magazines and decorating a great many peg dolls! She’s now illustrated over sixty books including Dancing with Memories (Humble Access), Fairy!, Dragon!, Mermaid! and Unicorn! (Affirm Press), The Travelling Bookshop series (ABC Books), Caravan Fran (Lothian). Her work also regularly appears in The School Magazine, exhibitions and murals.
