The photographs in Tough & tender by Rozalind Drummond evoke individual freedom and personal reflection. Drummond creates groups of images that map out alternatives to mainstream social systems and often integrate images of landscape and architecture.
Rozalind Drummond was born in Melbourne in 1955. Since receiving the Trustees of the National Gallery of Victoria Award in 1986 she has maintained a focused art practice working and exhibiting in Europe, the UK and Asia. Drummond has recently held artist residencies at secondary schools in the ACT and Victoria.
The photographs in the exhibition have been selected from the artist’s recent work.
