William Henry Fernyhough (1809-1849) was a sketcher, silhouette artist, lithographer and draughtsman who immigrated to Sydney in 1836. His work at J. G. Austin's lithographic printing firm earned his lithography and zincography much praise - he introduced zincography to New South Wales. Fernyhough was also an assistant surveyor and architect under Mitchell. His work is represented in the Mitchell Library, the National Library of Australia, the Dixson Library and the William Salt Library, Staffordshire.
