Natasha Gadd is an independent documentary filmmaker, writer and curator based in Melbourne. Before moving into film production, Gadd was Cinema Programmer at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. Between 2002 and 2004 she directed REAL: Life on Film, Australia's only dedicated documentary festival. She developed a passion for documentary film, and in 2007 co-wrote and directed with Rhys Graham, her debut feature documentary Words from the City, examining Australia's burgeoning hip hop scene. Natasha has directed community-based film projects in Indigenous communities and she was commissioned to direct the film component of the Murundak (Black Arm Band) performance, a moving image work of contemporary and archival Indigenous film screened at the 2006 Melbourne International Arts Festival.
