Lindy Morrison joined The Go-Betweens as drummer in 1980. After the band split up in early 1990, she teamed up with another ex Go-Between, Amanda Brown, in a group called Cleopatra Wong. Since 1992 she has worked as a community musician around Australia, leading music workshops and performing in or directing shows for a variety of community groups. Based in Sydney, Morrison regularly works at the Bondi Pavilion with the Bondi Youth Wave, taking workshops with teenagers. For the past eight years she has been playing with the Junction House Band, a group of musicians with intellectual disabilities. Morrison was formerly the artistic director at the South Sydney Youth Services, recording and producing songs written by young musicians in the area. She is currently the National Coordinator of Support Act, a benevolent society for musicians in need.
