Jesse Lizotte (b. 1991), photographer, was born in Sydney and spent most of his childhood in New York. At twelve, he returned to Australia and now lives and works in both countries. A self-taught photographer, Lizotte has a successful commercial practice in fashion and editorial circles, where his clients include Levis, Adidas, Oculus, Vogue, 10 Magazine, GQ, Oyster, i-D, Dazed and Confused, Diesel and INPRINT. In his fine art photography, Lizotte explores the lived experiences of individuals and groups, including subcultures such as the Yakuza and the lowrider gangs of Los Angeles. The photographer held his first solo exhibition in Sydney in 2014 and has since exhibited his work in Melbourne, Los Angeles, New York and London.
