Gino Zardo (b. 1968) is a Queanbeyan-born photographer who moved to New York in the 1990s, where he lived and worked for twenty years. Zardo has assisted some of the world's most prominent photographers including Annie Leibovitz, Sante D'Orazio and Steven Klein shooting renowned icons including The Rolling Stones, Julia Roberts and Kate Moss. As a fashion photographer he has produced images for American Mademoiselle, Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan as well as for Australian Cosmopolitan, Cleo, the Sydney Morning Herald and Singapore Vogue. Throughout his career, Zardo has maintained an ongoing practice as a multi-disciplinary artist across portraiture, landscape and travel, including producing a photographic sound portrait of his 12-month trek through India, Nepal and Papua New Guinea, Walking East. His photograph of nine-time Formula 1 Grand Prix winner Mark Webber was a finalist in the 2017 National Photographic Portrait Prize and acquired by the National Portrait Gallery in 2019.
