Chris Budgeon, born and educated in Canada, has lived in Australia since 1983 and has forged an outstanding career in the advertising industry, winning a number of industry awards, including selection in Lurzer's Archive 'top 200 advertising photographers World Wide' in 2004/2005, 2006/2007 and 2008/2009. Since 2003 he has focused increasingly on art photography, holding solo and group exhibitions in Australia and Germany. He has been a finalist in various Australian photographic prizes, most recently in the Josephine Ulrick & Win Schubert Photography Award and the Moran Contemporary Photographic prize of 2010. In 2011 he was a finalist in the Head on Portrait Prize. His work was included in the the National Photographic Portrait Prize in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
