Merilyn Fairskye is a Sydney-based artist employing photo-media, video and installation to 'explore the experience of a hyper-connected world, where physical and geographic boundaries dissolve'. She is particularly interested in unique digital video editing processes that allow for the representation of depth of time rather than linear representation. She has undertaken a variety of public artworks, including many independently-generated projects as well as commissions. She has received many awards, grants and residencies including a Rockefeller Foundation residency at Bellagio, Italy and PSI Museum New York, and has exhibited widely in Australia and overseas.
