This image of musician Marlon Williams accompanied a magazine article and was taken on 11 August, 2015 in Melbourne.  It’s not true that every picture tells a story. How can you extract enough information for a narrative out of a momentary impression? At best, you react to a portrait visually via its form, or a memory of something familiar. You might say to yourself, ‘It reminds me of...’ or ‘That person looks like...’ and from that a story may emerge, or even better, a feeling may develop that could go in any direction. It’s a mystery.
