Me, alone, 2022

For three months I travelled around Australia in a caravan with my family. Mum took a lot of pictures of me in many beautiful places. I took this picture of myself on a long drive in the car, looking out at our country through the window. There is no background in the picture because I wanted a moment by myself. It is just me. On our adventure I learnt that my place is anywhere I, Azlin Gibson, choose to be.

Little Darlings Youth Portrait Prize 2023

Previous exhibition, 2023

Little Darlings is for primary and secondary students, with four separate categories across Kindergarten to Year 12. Responding to the theme ‘Me and my place’, students painted, drew, photographed, printed or combined all of these to make their portrait.
