Sam Harding (b. 1993), student, is the son of Nicholas Harding and Lynne Watkins. The three have travelled together a great deal. Often, awake with jet lag, Harding’s whiled away the time drawing his slumbering family. Several of Harding’s tender drawings of the baby Sam were exhibited in the National Portrait Gallery exhibition Idle Hours in 2009-2010. In this exhibition he is pictured, too, on an airline refuse bag in a neighbouring showcase.
