This portrait was taken to show how Syari stands out from a dull and bleak scene representing life. I achieved this by photographing her in low light conditions. Her usual wardrobe of bright colours brings her away from the background and her expression and eyes looking toward the ground show how her personality does not fit into a boring life like this.
