The title, Which way from here? refers to the uncertainty that I feel as a Year 11 student faced with decisions that will determine the direction of the next stage of my life. In the painting, stepping through the doorway represents the end of childhood and of my life as a high school student. Ahead of me the path is dim and unclear; the light behind me represents security and familiarity. I feel drawn forward but can’t quite see which way to go. It would be easier to step back into the light. I am excited yet hesitant.
