Year 10, Marist College, Canberra ACT
oil pastel on recycled paper
This self portrait generates many interpretations. The light bulb represents the ideas constantly popping into my head. I crave these inspirations because they allow me to express myself through creative means, such as art. The light emitting from the bulb expresses my optimistic belief that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. No matter how depressing the situation, there is always a solution for it. This self portrait holds other meanings, but they are for you to reflect on.
