Year 10, Marist College, Canberra ACT
synthetic polymer paint on canvas
This painting is about what is important to me in my life. I feel that I am drawn to the bush and to wide open spaces, so I have tried to express this in my painting. These places are more important to me than our materialistic world, surrounded by all the possessions we take for granted. I also feel that the bush is a great place for self reflection, because it removes all the distractions of daily life, leaving you with nothing more than your thoughts. Spending time in a place like this makes it easier to deal with everyday challenges.
