by Alex Vaughan

National Photographic Portrait Prize 2011 Finalist

This is about confronting something we all face. This image has been selected from a personal project photographed over two months in June and July, 2010. Les Vaughan is 95 and Eileen Vaughan is 96. Their journey started in 1945 as they walked by each other on Archer Street in Chatswood, Sydney. They shared a life together for the next 65 years.
