As personifications of destiny the three goddesses, Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos, controlled the metaphorical thread of life for every mortal from birth to death. We are hardwired to strive for truth, for longevity and for control over our existence in a seemingly infinite and indifferent universe. But is it monumentally futile? Are our fates allotted by the dreaded apportioner, Lachesis, on some otherworldly plane long before we exist? Does she even want this colossal task? Regardless, I hope I pulled hard.
