oil on canvas

‘Trent Crawford is a highly acclaimed and multi-award-winning Naarm-based artist and filmmaker working with visual technologies and exploring their effects on human perception and meaning. His work is deeply considered and sharply executed. I have known Trent for the past five years and (like many other artists) learnt so much from him in his role as art mentor and teacher. Focused is an absolute description of Trent’s approach to his art. I wanted to paint Trent’s portrait as realistic and intense. He holds light that illuminates his vision and casts a glow that personifies his presence.’

Naarm/Melbourne-based artist Jennifer D’Arcy works across multiple disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture and installation with exacting, often stylised detail and expressive colour.
