My friend and housemate, nationally renowned actor and Helpmann Award winner, Guy Simon. When the curtain falls on closing night, the world you created on stage comes to an end and the character you were so affectionately tethered to is no more. Going from a highly energised, regimented and intensive routine to the unknown is all part of the reality of working in the arts, but can be trying on our mental health. The night after closing, inhabited by anxiety, Guy keeps his mind busy and his heart distracted.

Darling Portrait Prize 2020

Previous exhibition, 2020

The Darling Prize is a new biennial prize for Australian portrait painters, painting Australian sitters. The winner receives a cash prize of $75,000.
