Grab your Free on Fridays ticket to experience the exhibition Carol Jerrems: Portraits and then delve further into the artist’s life and work with a screening of Girl in a Mirror: A Portrait of Carol Jerrems (2005, 55 min). This biographical film is a heartfelt tribute to the iconic photographer who captured Melbourne’s sub-cultures in the 1970s. Told through her short films, still photographs, and interviews with friends and colleagues, this film offers an unsentimental look at her life and work, including her battle with Budd-Chiari syndrome.
