DJ Charlie Villas
Charlie Villas is a DJ, music curator and event producer who has become one of Australia’s most celebrated vibe makers and party starters. Originally from the Philippines and now residing in the stunning Blue Mountains on Darug and Gundungurra Country, Charlie is known for her infectious energy and ability to seamlessly blend musical genres. Her passion for music began with a teenage obsession for collecting disco, funk and soul records, which has led to a broad knowledge that spans eras and cultures.
Charlie’s unique sound has taken her to some of the world’s most exciting venues, with appearances at London’s The Glory, Paris’ Le Comptoir Général, Tokyo’s legendary women-only bar Goldfinger, and Bali’s Karma Beach Club. Back home in Australia, she’s performed at major festivals like Dark Mofo, Splendour in the Grass, Sydney Mardi Gras and Vivid Sydney and is a fixture at queer parties like Heaps Gay, All Day Queer Dance and Loose Ends.
